Pen Y Ghent from Horton - 21st February 2016

Blimey I've got really really behind with my blogging but there's been a lot going on, significantly the acquiring of Teasel, Harry's Border Terrier pup sidekick. Lets just say that Teasel is 'a handful' and leave it at that. She's still in her puppy jabs period and can't yet get out running (albeit itty bitty runs to begin with) but will appear properly on the blog soon - here's a picture of her to be going on with:

Anyway, on 21st February (over a month ago now!) me and Harold went for a restrained run up Pen Y Ghent - restrained for my part because it was the High Peak Marathon (a 42 mile humdinger of an event) on 27th/28th February and I needed to taper with that in mind and restrained also with the boy Hazzer still coming back from injury. All the same the run was gorgeous and in gorgeous weather.

From Horton - 5.7 miles and 1,704 ft - route on Strava

Not many folk about today then...

Like I said the run was in gorgeous weather but, just to show how fickle the weather can be up here, on my run the following day with Hester this was the track to Horton Scar:
